The lowest cost per watt for crystalline silicon is from the Chinese company Suntech Power. This is a production price, not how much they can sell for. You can search for the company’s earnings conference calls to get news. The company’s site is at http://www.suntech-power.com/en/.
The lowest cost for thin film, IN PRODUCTION, is probably First Solar. Their site is at http://www.firstsolar.com/ .
There seems to be no limit to companies claiming to have the lowest cost per watt “imminently.”

They are probably all similar for the particular cell type.
Generally the larger the solar module, the lower the cost per watt.
